NSW Elder Abuse Helpline & Resource Unit

Elder Abuse is any act within a relationship of implied trust, which harms an older person. It includes financial, psychological, physical, verbal, sexual abuse, and neglect.

The NSW Helpline & Resource Unit offers the following services:

  • A helpline offering information, support and referrals for people who experience, witness or suspect the abuse of older people living in community in NSW. 
  • Resources and training for service providers.
  • Awareness raising & information sessions for community groups to promote preventative strategies to reduce the abuse of older people in NSW.
